Gambling for a Great Cause - The Locations Foundation Supports 'Women in Need'

On September 27 Women in Need held Win for WIN, their second annual Vegas-themed fundraiser at the Hilton Waikiki Beach and raised over $30,000, making it not only a resounding success, but fun for everyone who attended!

After dinner and a touching presentation of who Women In Need helps in our community, the gaming tables were open for business. We were given a fistful of $100 play money to try our best at tipping the odds in our favor. There were dozens and dozens of prizes to be won at the silent auction tables, random giveaways throughout the evening as well as two grand prize raffle items...an iPad and a trip to Vegas!!  I felt like a high roller all night long, and for the first time in “Vegas” history, everyone went home a winner! "I have seen firsthand how the Women In Need programs have changed the lives of women and children in our community," explains Corinda Wong, Women in Need past treasurer and honorary board member and REALTOR® and Partner with Prudential Locations. “This was a fun way to support such a wonderful cause.”

Women In Need is a unique nonprofit organization that empowers individuals who have been through domestic violence, homelessness, substance abuse and incarceration. The Locations Foundation, the not-for profit arm of Prudential Locations has been partnered with Women in Need for almost 10 years. For this event we were the title Platinum Sponsor and hosted two VIP tables for Locations Foundation volunteers. Guild Mortgage, Macanas Law Firm, UPS Store Kapolei, Team Lally, Ohana Health Plan and Honi Hawaii were the other sponsors of the evening.
